The third annual Women in Ag Tech (WiAT) meeting took place on July 21, 2025, at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, Iowa, as part of Tech Hub Live conference. The WiAT half-day event convened a diverse group of professionals from across the agricultural technology sector for an afternoon of thought leadership, peer collaboration, and actionable insights.

The program opened with welcome remarks from organizers, followed by a powerful keynote presentation from Dr. Susan Olson, Aerospace Engineer turned Ag Tech Entrepreneur. In her talk, From Rocket Science to Ag Tech, Olson explored how high-tech innovations and lessons from aerospace are reshaping agriculture—from artificial intelligence (AI) and sensor data to supply chain analytics.
Panel sessions throughout the afternoon tackled some of the industry’s most pressing topics. Attendees gained practical strategies for maximizing ag tech ROI in a session led by Jennifer Clarke, Professor of Statistics and Food Science and Technology, and Director, Quantitative Life Sciences Imitative, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, featuring insights from Bayer Crop Science’s VP of Ag Innovation Tami Craig Schilling and AIFARMS’ Jessica Wedow.
A fireside chat with Corteva Agriscience’s R&D Chief of Staff Sarah Canada provided a behind-the-scenes look at scaling innovation through R&D operations. Another panel, moderated by Agri-Access’s Kelly Miller, addressed how ag tech is transforming risk management and farm credit decisions.
