FIRA USA has announced the creation of the Women in AgRobotics of the Year Award, which will be presented for the first time at FIRA USA 2025, held October 21–23, in Woodland, California. The award is designed to recognize and elevate pioneering women—whether founders, engineers, farmers, researchers, or executives—who are demonstrating vision, innovation, and leadership in the fast-growing agricultural robotics sector.
Still a largely male-led industry, ag robotics is seeing increasing contributions from women whose work is transforming how technology is developed and applied in the field. The program seeks to highlight these achievements, inspire new voices, and encourage greater participation and leadership by women across the value chain.
Nominations are open to women in influential or strategic roles within the sector and may be submitted by the candidates themselves or by colleagues. Submissions will be evaluated based on professional contributions, project references, leadership impact, and a brief video introduction.
The winner will be selected by a jury of women leaders and advocates representing organizations including Women in Ag Magazine, California Women for Agriculture, American Agri-Women, and Women in Ag Tech (WiAT). The recipient will be honored with an official FIRA USA trophy, on-stage recognition, visibility across FIRA USA platforms, and media features, including coverage in Women in Ag Magazine.
The deadline for nominations is October 5.
