In the May 15 Women in Ag Tech webinar, Dr. Susan Olsen, Founder of Action Intel, shared practical insights into how generative AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude.ai are reshaping everyday work—especially for those navigating the fast-paced ag tech industry.

Dr. Olsen highlighted how generative AI goes beyond saving time and simplifying business intelligence tasks. These tools, she explained, are invaluable as research and writing assistants, helping professionals quickly synthesize information and produce quality content—whether it’s for internal reports, client communications, or strategic planning.
She also emphasized a lesser-discussed but highly useful application: using AI as a technology interpreter. Even with decades of experience in tech, Dr. Olsen noted that she regularly encounters emails packed with acronyms and software names she’s unfamiliar with. Rather than spending hours digging through technical documentation, she turns to AI tools to break down complex terminology and make sense of unfamiliar technologies—quickly and clearly.
“Generative AI is great for getting time back,” she shared. “It’s a great first cut—and sometimes it’ll get you all the way.”
This clip from the webinar underscores how embracing AI can empower women in ag tech to move faster, work smarter, and confidently engage with evolving tools and technologies.
